This is a project I have recently finished called 'The Orangutans'.
Orangutans are widely found in british zoos. Although they are well looked after I always get a pang of guilt upon seeing them in this environment.
With this series I wanted to re-imagine their surroundings, placing them in a setting that seems idealistic and slightly magical, giving the images a completely different context.
Here is a little sneak into the process of how one of them was made.
